Fae Gate Rumor

The elves of Minas left no roads of travel between their cities. Instead, they used enchanted mirrors or fae gates called Eluvians to communicate and travel great distances, using a type of magic unknown to modern practitioners.

The Eluvians stopped functioning, corrupted by powers too unwholesome to name, and with their corruption the elves of Minas fled to lands far from the sun and stars. It was assumed that the Sundering had destroyed them all – or so the legends say.

However, a rumor persists of a fallen and toppled city within the depths of the Dark Wood, sheltered from the sunlight, protected by a canopy as dense as dwarven armor, but occasionally something from beyond finds its way to these woods…a tantalizing hint of a working Eluvian.
